Efeito tóxico da mistura dos inseticidas clorpirifós e fipronil em tilápia do Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus)

O aumento do uso de agrotóxicos na agricultura tem causado grande preocupação devido aos seus efeitos tóxicos em organismos aquáticos. Entre os inseticidas mais utilizados, encontra-se o clorpirifós e o fipronil, os quais chegam a serem utilizados em combinações em determinações, podendo intensificar seu potencial tóxico. Nesse cenário, o presente estudo buscou avaliar os efeitos da exposição aguda (96 horas) à mistura dos referidos inseticidas em tilápia do Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus), por meio da análise das atividades enzimáticas da acetilcolinesterase (AChE), catalase (CAT) e glutationa-S-transferase (GST) nos tecidos cerebral, branquial e hepático. Utilizou-se cinco grupos experimentais, incluindo um controle e quatro concentrações distintas dos inseticidas. Os resultados demonstraram que a exposição à mistura de clorpirifós e fipronil resultou em alterações significativas nas atividades das enzimas AChE, CAT e GST. No cérebro, houve ativação da AChE e aumento significativo da CAT em concentrações mais baixas, enquanto o fígado e as brânquias apresentaram inibição de CAT e GST em determinadas concentrações. Concluiu-se que a mistura de clorpirifós e fipronil tem o potencial de intensificar os danos em peixes, representando um risco ambiental significativo no ambiente aquático.Downloads
