Abstract

The objective of this research study was to analyse the efficiency of sixschool–farm learning settings in six basic competences of the agriculturaltechnician. The following research question was formulated: what are the perceptions of students, teachers and technical–administrative personnel ofthe agricultural technical schools concerning learning in the six settings ofthe school–farm for each of the six competences of the agriculturaltechnician? Data was analised with the differential semantic technique todetermine the efficiency of the school–farm learning settings for eachtechnician basic competence. The results have shown significant differencesin the perceptions of the respondents. The training on the job was identifiedas the most important learning setting. The library and the cooperative wereevaluated as the most precarious in the four schools analised.
